In a major escalation in the fight over Arizona’s Maricopa County’s refusal to comply with a Senate election audit subpoena, the state attorney general’s office ordered the county to give in or lose its state funding, which provides nearly a third of the county’s budget…

According to county and state estimates, the state provides about $700 million a year to the county, over a quarter of its $2.7 billion budget.

Democrats that run Maricopa County’s elections are refusing to hand over routers used in the 2020 election.

The state attorney general is warning them. If they don’t hand them over, the state could cut its funding.

A third of the county’s budget comes from the state—a reported $700 million.

It seems very unusual that, after all this time, the county still refuses to cooperate with this audit. And it casts doubt on the validity of the state’s results.

We all remember how Arizona continually delayed a final tally of the ballots, even though it was supposed to be finished on Election Night.

Much of the trouble came from Maricopa County, concerns that eventually sparked the ongoing audit.

Joe Biden allegedly won the state by a mere 10,457 votes—close enough for investigators to examine everything.

Plenty of rumors, reports, and questions still surrounded the 2020 Election. Many states have already passed new voter integrity laws to clean up the messes they allowed last year.

What Arizona might find in this audit could shake the Democratic Party.
