The Senate passed a bill that would require intelligence on the origins of COVID-19 to be declassified.

The legislation requires the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to declassify information “related to any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the origins of the Covid pandemic,” per the press release. The bill was introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and co-sponsored by Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.).

The Senate unanimously passed a bill that would require the Director of National Intelligence to declassify information about the origins of the 2020 crisis.

For a long time, the media’s narrative about the cause of the 2020 crisis was widely accepted. Anyone that questioned the story that it arose out of the Wuhan wet markets was dismissed, and even banned.

But in recent days, there have been stirrings within our government questioning that narrative.

Social media had banned even discussing its possibility, and people were accused of stirring up conspiracy theories. Biden’s team just admitted they cancelled the Trump administration’s investigation.

But in a stunning turn of events, Biden now says he’s ordering a redoubling of efforts to investigate it, and he wants to report the findings in 90 days. The Democrats and the media who seemed to have tried to bury this now have egg on their faces.

The State Department had previously suggested the virus may have leaked from the Wuhan Virology lab. At one point, even the World Health Organization was leaning toward that theory (and quickly withdrew it, after China pressed them).

But it’s becoming harder to deny that the origins of a crisis that shut down the world might not have come out of an accidental encounter at a wet market.

The Senate has hammered figures like Anthony Fauci for answers about Wuhan’s “gain-of-function” research.

Senators like Rand Paul believe Fauci’s own org donated money the lab so they could conduct this research.

Now, the entire Senate has approved a process that will reveal to the public what we are learning about the origins of what happened.

It seems clear that China worked to cover up the spread for months. They have already been blamed for letting it get out of control.

But if it really started in a lab, run by the Chinese government? The entire international community will demand answers.

Hopefully, we’ll find out soon.
