Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin said Wednesday that members of his caucus would be wise to “hit the pause button” on their $3.5 trillion budget…

“He looked at me and said, ‘You gonna vote for the 3.5 trillion?’” Manchin recalled Bernie asking him. “I said, ‘hell no, Bernie. I’m not voting for 3.5 trillion.’ He says, ‘well at least you’re honest with me.’”

In recent days, Joe Manchin has become more vocal in his opposition to the $3.5 trillion expansion of the welfare state.

He wrote an op-ed explaining the danger of adding a tremendous amount of new debt to the country. Manchin also criticized his party for adding something else, when they have so much else on their plate.

And when Bernie Sanders, the party’s biggest socialist, asked him point-blank if he’d vote on the bill, Manchin said “Hell no.”

Without Manchin’s vote, there is no way this bill is being passed. The Senate is split 50-50. Democrats can get the bill passed through another bogus reconciliation loophole.

But they’ll need every last Democrat vote. With Manchin holding the line against this socialist takeover of our country, the bill will not reach Biden’s desk.
