Just a few days before the rally, Capitol Police suddenly erected security fencing around the city. As Pelosi demanded earlier in the year, this unnecessary measure is made to look like conservatives are a constant threat to our government.

Donald Trump, however, has gone further to expose the left’s plans. And he says the event is really a setup by Democrats.

“On Saturday, that’s a setup,” Trump told The Federalist in an interview, also published Thursday. “If people don’t show up they’ll say, ‘Oh, it’s a lack of spirit.’ And if people do show up they’ll be harassed.”

Longtime Republican operative Roger Stone, who was granted clemency last December, has voiced opposition as well… “No, patriots, stay away from Washington,” he said.

Oddly, many prominent Republicans and leaders, including Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, revealed they will not be attending the event. McCarthy said not a single Republican will be there.

Roger Stone was even urging Trump supporters to “stay away” from the D.C. rally.

Why is this so? Isn’t Trump and the MAGA movement known for its legendary rallies? It seems this event is not being sanctioned by the GOP or Trump’s Super PAC. And the 45^th president is even calling it a setup.

Like we saw back in January, Democrats in D.C. are looking for a reason to attack conservatives. Trump warns that if the event is lightly attended, they’ll say it’s due to a “lack of spirit.” But if many people show up, he believes they will be “harassed.”

The image of imposing security fencing is enough for many Americans to want to stay away. Others might fear an outbreak of violence, as the far-left frequently shows up to be “counter protesters.” On top of that Capitol Police might use even minor commotion as an excuse to arrest more conservatives.

Those who organized the event claim they are on the right. They promise that it will be peaceful. But the fact that not a single Republican leader will be there speaks volumes.
